An Evening in York Town 1777-2002
Friday, November 15

Parking is available in Yorktowne Hotel's garage on a first-come first-served basis. For those who desire transportation to and from the reception, a shuttle bus will be available starting at 4:30 pm at the Market Street entrance of the hotel.

The evening will begin with a reception from 5 - 6:30 pm, at the York County Heritage Trust's Historical Society Museum, 250 East Market Street, in downtown York. Your table assignment for the dinner will be available upon entering the museum's main entrance. Then browse though the Pen is Mightier and Celebrate York exhibits for a true Colonial experience before enjoying the many hors d'oeuvres and the company of the other guests, including David McCullough. Please remember that Mr. McCullough will not be signing books at the reception or at the dinner.

Following the reception, a special Colonial dinner, featuring foods from the 1700's with a 2002 flair, will follow at the Yorktowne Hotel. Table assignments will also be available at the hotel. If you ordered an autographed copy of the book John Adams or a signed bookplate, they will be available for you in the hotel lobby at the end of the evening.

You are encouraged to wear your Colonial outfit but if your powdered wigs and petticoats are at the drycleaners, business attire will be just fine.

Thank you joining in the celebration of the 225th Anniversary of the Articles of Confederation.
