Elementary Classroom Presentations
Our classroom presentations are designed for young elementary
age children. A qualified museum professional brings these presentations
to your classrooms or sites. They are available for $30.00 for our educational
members or $60.00 for non-member schools and children groups.
Inside the Longhouse
Learn about the first people who lived in Pennsylvania thousands of
years ago, and how they used the natural environment to supply all of
their needs. Sit around a 'campfire' and hear legends and lore of the
Susquehannock Indians. Learn Indian sign language and see artifacts they
made and used.
Can You Dig It?
Archaeology in the classroom! Students will participate in an archeological
dig and discover how archaeologists fit the pieces together from long
ago in order to interpret a lifestyle from the past.
What's In Style?
Students will examine styles of clothing and accessories throughout
American history, and then consider how they reflect women's historic
place in society.
