![]() THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM WILL REOPEN ON TUESDAY, MARCH 11, 2008 From quilts to tiny photographs, the Historical Society Museum and Library
houses both exhibits and an extensive research library. The building,
constructed in 1921 as an automobile dealership, still has the original
showroom floor in the spacious two-story entrance hall. William Richley
donated the building to the Historical Society in the 1950s. In addition
to more than 10,000 square feet of exhibitions, this building also houses
the main offices for the York County Heritage Trust.

George Street into downtown York. Turn left in the square of York onto E. Market Street. Go about 2 1/2 blocks and the Museum will be on your right. |
